The 2021 MiLB Draft has officially kicked off While you are free to pick now if your player has signed the clock does not start till August 2nd or when all players in the real life 1st and 2nd round have signed. Whichever comes first.
deleted- former Mariners owner will kick off this years draft as he played his Ohtani card at the right time in order to grab the top pick in the draft. Since last September this team has been overhauled and turned into a freight train of youth that is on a collision course with competing for a future playoff spot. Vaughn, Eloy, Franimal, Giolito are some of the boys all ready up and then you look at the farm and go oh shit! Adley, Casas, Groshans, Abrams, Julio, and that is just to name a few. They are all on their way and here are the Mariners with the top pick in the 2021 draft ready to add another sailor to this battleship currently under construction, wait did we not say freight train, oh well you get the point. A war of super soldiers is coming and I heard they may even have a dragon! Maybe he trades it away but there is only one way to find out and that is for me to shut up and to get on with the draft!

Mr. Mariner hit it right on the head. With my team in constant flux, adjustments need to be made. That is why I make as many moves as I do. This draft will help infuse some talent for my continuous rebuild and hopefully find a cornerstone player at the top.
The only issue I have is that I try to record "The Biggest Loser" so I can watch when I get home, but it keeps recording Cubs games. Please help!!!
International Players
Just like last year the international signing deadline has been moved to Janurary 15th. We will do the same thing that we did last year in that you are able to draft an international prospect. However if he does not sign you lose the player and what you get in return is a comp pick for the following years draft in the round the player was drafted in.
So that is the risk...
Draft an international player now and you run the risk of losing him if he does not sign by the deadline.
These players can also not be traded until they have signed
Also NO INT players that are 26 years of age or older
As for players from the 2021 MLB Draft
These players must be signed by an MLB team. The signing deadline is August 1st. The clock for the draft will officially start at 6am EST on Monday August 2nd or when all players in the 1st and 2nd round have signed. Whichever comes first.
Picks 1.1 - 1.20 - Will be on a 24 hr clock and it will NOT stop between 12am and 6am EST. If you exceed your time limit you will be on a 6hr clock for the remainder of the draft. Please use your time but if you do not need it then do not eat clock just for the sake of it.
Picks 2.1 - 3.20 and MiLB picks - Will be on a 12 hr clock and the clock WILL stop between the hrs of 12am and 6am EST. The same rules for being skipped apply in the 2nd and 3rd as those in the 1st round.

Time to get your research on if you have not started already
When it comes to the 72 hr rule during the draft. At the end of each round a post will be made with any players that still be needed to added PB/FX. You will have 72 hrs from the time of that post to roster drafted players. If a player is not rostered on both PB/FX he will become a Free Agent. This will be taken care of by the Dodgers.
