Condensed Changes for the 2020 Season and dates to remember

August 23rd, '20 3pm EST - Deadline for Freezing/Not Freezing your FT, RFA, or SHOW contracts.

-----Owed money in '20 will not carry over

-----All FA picksups moving forward CAN NOT be Frozen/Not Frozen

September 6th, '20 12pm EST - This is the last day of the regular season and is the 2020 Trade Deadline.

Rosters - Stay at 50 the entire season and into next year until week before Opening Day 2021

Schedule - We will have a 6 week schedule. We will play 4 teams in week 1 and 3 team in weeks 2-6. Weeks 6-9 Will be the playoffs. 8 teams will make the post season and there will be no byes this year. The highest seed will play the lowest seed in each round. 

-----Regular Season - July 23rd - Sept. 6th, 2020
-----Post Season - Sept. 7th - Sept. 27th, 2020

Injured List - Players that our D2D or on any length of the MLB IL will be eligible or the SHOW IL. However you will only be able to carry over one IL player who is 60 day as we go into next year. This will remain the case for the year as long as teams keep up on FX and make all needed PB posts. Acivate, Deactivate, and Player Drops. The L.O. can at anytime restrict this for any team it deems to be abusing this privilege.

International Players - These players drafted in the '20 draft and the '21 draft are subject to the game of Risk. If they do not sign you will lose them and receive a comp pick in the round they were drafted. Order of comp picks based on previous seasons record. Worst first.

The tags formerly known as Post '20 - These are now your Post '21 Tags. There will be no tagging of players after the '20 season. The next time we tag players will be after the '21 season. You will be getting no new tags to start the 2021 season.

Also, you will not be getting ANY NEW tags to start next year.

So the tags rolling over do not add on to the number of tags we get each year. Simply if you had 3 RFA tags in post '20 you will have 3 Post '21 RFA tags. If you had 0 RFA tags in Post '20 then you will have 0 Post '21 RFA Tags. So on and so forth.

The Injured List

We are going to go ahead and open up the Injured List for this year only. Any length  but most important D2D players also. I think it is possible that this year players may linger longer on d2d instead of going on IL with shortened season. Maybe not but I also know we are going to face some lineup challenges this year and maybe some unforseen challenges so I think this flexibility could really help teams out.

However as the saying goes with freedom comes great responsibilty and sorry for sounding like a hyperbolic dick but with the adding of D2D there will be no real way of policing this so I am really going to just leave it up to integrity. I know it is impossible to know the very second a player is removed from D2D but please when you do notice make the appropriate moves to keep your roster legal.

I am just going to combine the Covid List I created into the regular IL.

I talked with Royals about this as it will create more traffic for him but he was good with it as long as teams make all the necessary posts on Pro Boards.

When you put a player on the IL, even D2D, you must post it on Pro Boards. When you activate him you must post that. Along with any drops you need to make.

No Suspended Players.

In an attempt to keep injured players from being picked up off FA just to stash. I will be cutting all the extra IL slots and setting it back to normal by years end... By this time you must have no more than 1 player on IL and they must be 60 day only! This is to try and help you out not for you to take advantage of. Use it if you need it BUT DO NOT USE IT JUST TO USE IT.

It will be easy to just take a player off the IL who is D2D on FX and forget to post on PB. So please for this to work we will need the cooperation of the whole league. I really think it is simple and will help us all out as long as no one takes advantage of the freedom and they pay attention to who should be on IL  and who should not, If for some reason and I do not think it will but if it does become a huge issue I can always just shut it down.

Posting Guidelines for The Big Freeze

All AAS contracts are freezing as they are now. You do not need to post them in the freezing or not freezing sections because of this. This is players that are 0/3, 1/3, 2/3, You do not need to post. If a player was 1/3 in '20 then he will be 1/3 in '21.

ALL TAGS, are rolling over, we will NOT be tagging players after this year. Your post 20 tags will become your post 21 tags.

The only players that need to be posted are players on a SHOW, RFA, or FT, contract.

Please when you post the player post entire contract.

The first year of any of these contracts should be '21. You post what the contract will be after this season.

So starting in '21.

21:$3m, 22:$7m, 23$9m and so forth, year and dollar amount

All contracts must be done this way in order to count

The Big Freeze and Trading

Just want to clarify a couple of things.

At the start we said you could not change your mind after posting a player in freezing/not freezing. However we will go ahead and allow you do do this. You must make another post of course and state that you are changing your mind so that the Royals knows. Then go and delete your old post that is not needed anymore. Do not just edit a post as no one will see it and it will not count.

When it comes to the trading of players

If a player has been frozen/not frozen and then traded. The new team takes contract as is and can not change it.

However if a player has not been declared to be frozen/not frozen then the new team can decide if they want to freeze or not.

Deadlines for having your Injured List back down to 1 player who is on the 60 day DL.

For those of you who will not be making the playoffs now might be a good time to start thinking about getting your IL cut back down to one guy who is on the 60 day IL. Rosters are still at 50 but the rule will revert back to being allowed to have only 1 player on the IL at 60 day. Each deadline gives you a week to get legit after you have officially been knocked out of contention for the championship.

I suppose if you miss a deadline then the LO will just drop whomever you have on your IL for you and that could be fucking dangerous...
