Current Rule:
Section B
Each team is allowed a maximum of 45 MLB players and 5 minor league players for a total of 50. Any player with an (0/3) prospect contract is eligible for the 5 man roster. You may carry more than 5 minor leaguers but they will cut into your 45 man roster. A player who is on your 5 man roster is not eligible to be put in your Fantrax starting lineup until he has been called up. When a player is brought up to your 45 man roster a corresponding move must be made if needed to keep the 45 man roster at 45.
Proposed Amendments (Bold used for emphasis of the amended changes)
Section B
Each team is allowed a maximum of 45 players on the 45 Man MLB roster and 10 minor league players on the 10 Man Minor League Roster for a total of 55. Any player with an (0/3) prospect contract is eligible for the 10 Man Minor League Roster. You may carry more than 10 minor leaguers but they will cut into your 45 Man MLB Roster. A player who is on your 10 Man Minor League Roster is not eligible to be put in your Fantrax starting lineup until he has been called up. When a player is brought up to your 45 Man MLB Roster a corresponding move must be made if needed to keep the 45 Man MLB Roster at 45. For the purpose of the minor league draft, all drafted first year minor league players (up to a maximum of 5 per team) will not count towards the 10 Man Minor League Roster so long as they are maintained by the drafting team for the balance of the fantasy season (see Section H). However, at the end of our fantasy season, any minor leaguers in excess of the 10 Man Minor League Roster, will count towards the 45 Man MLB Roster.
Section H
All drafted first year minor leaguers may be added to the drafting team without impacting the 10 Man Minor League Roster during the fantasy season, provided that no more than 5 minor league players are drafted by that team and maintained by the drafting team for the balance of the fantasy season. If more than 5 players are drafted by a team, any additional player will count against the 10 Man Minor League Roster. Further, if any drafted minor leaguer is traded to another team during that season, that player will be counted towards the new team's 10 Man Minor League Roster or the 45 Man MLB Roster. At the end of our fantasy season, any minor leaguers in excess of the 10 Man Minor League Roster will count towards the 45 Man MLB Roster.
