2019 Draft - Stays exactly the Same - 2 rounds with MiLB Cup

2020 Draft - Two separate first round lotteries added along with the 3rd round.

Round One - The lottery will only affect the first round

Picks 1-5 - Lotto - The bottom 5 will have draft order randomized**

Picks 6-10 - Lotto - These picks will also be randomized**

Picks 11-20 - Reverse order of standings

**When it comes to making a random order. A website will be used that will randomly generate the order and then it sends an email out to everyone so that they can see.

2021 Draft - The supplemental round is added

Round One - Same as 2020

Supplemental Round - This round was not added until now as 2nd round 2020 draft picks have already been traded and adding it in 2020 would decrease their value. Also to give teams that are currently building time to prepare for the minimums coming.

Reverse order of standings

Must meet at 3,000 AB or 800 IP in a season to qualify for a pick in this round and those numbers are subject to change as of now.

These picks (Supp Round) can not be traded as to give rebuilding teams more incentive to meet those minimums since they can not trade into the round. Once a player is drafted with pick that player then of course can be traded.

Due to the supplemental round being added in 2021 take note when trading for 2021 2nd and 3rd round picks during the 2020 season.

Compensation picks for RFA. 1st comp picks come after 1st round and 2nd round comp picks come after Supp. round.

Just a quick summary to ensure I understand the new rules.

Starting in 2020, I need to accumulate some MLB innings and AB or lose draft picks in the 2021 supplemental round of the draft.

Starting in 2021, three of the four rounds are reverse order of standings.

What is the MiLB Cup?

1. If you do not meet the minimums then you will not get a pick in the supp round, but you do get a pick in all other rounds as normal.

2.All rounds are reverse order of standings, except for the first 10 picks of the 1st round and the MiLB Cup

Fake news for me I get that other leagues think that these draft picks are important but after round one in my opinion all these things are for owners to rip other owners off as picks that come after the first round probably mean less than anyone else you can almost always sign a better prospect off the waiver wire but hey it means I get extra roster spots so I suppose I’m all for it
